Another Award Win for Peter Lik!

Updated 07/28/2021
Peter can now add yet another honor of distinction to his growing list of impressive accolades.

One Eyeland has officially announced the results of its 2014 photography awards competition and it is no surprise to find the Master Photographer on the winners list. This latest bit of recognition rounds out the start of 2015 for Peter –who has already been given a PPA Lifetime Achievement Award and honors from the Federation of European Photographers (FEP).

One Eyeland, which humorously bills itself as a virtual location “inhabited by people who shoot for a living,” was founded in 2008 as a way to create a forum for “anyone with a viewfinder.” Each year, the One Eyeland Photography Awards narrow down thousands of submissions from 48 countries in order to choose the best of the best in various categories from “Fashion” to “Conceptual.” This year, 3313 images were examined and only 409 were selected as winners.

It is certainly no surprise that Peter walked away with a 2014 Bronze Camera Award for his submission in the “Landscape” category. Scarlet Moods, taken at Utah’s Deer Valley is a hazy vision of majestic white tree trunks – poignantly highlighted by vibrant red leaves. Peter commented on taking the shot: “The early morning mist swirled through the forest – revealing the iridescent crimson and scarlet colors in fleeting moments. When all of the moods of the forest harmonized – I took a deep breath and pressed the shutter.”

Such an incredible year so far for the Master Photographer, who has been very grateful for all the recent press, praise and accolades: “The past couple of months have been absolutely insane in such an awesome way. While I am so proud of my accomplishments I am also extremely humbled to be recognized by prestigious photography communities like One Eyeland.” Even after over 30 years of working hard every day, Peter still puts out award-winning images time and time again. With passion like his, there is no doubt many more honors of distinction are yet to come.
