What is included in Peter Lik’s Mountain Collection?

Peter Lik’s Mountain Collection features fine art landscape photography of the world’s most dramatic peaks, valleys, and alpine wilderness across four continents. Yosemite National Park forms the heart of the collection—El Capitan rising through winter mist, Half Dome illuminated at dusk, and the valley floor transformed by fresh snow. The journey continues through the Maroon Bells and golden aspen forests of Colorado, Grand Teton and Glacier national parks, the red-rock formations of Zion and Bryce Canyon, Lake Tahoe, Oregon’s Crater Lake, and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Farther north, Peter captures the still waters of Moraine Lake in Banff National Park and Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park. Beyond North America, the collection reaches the Great Wall of China and the mist-shrouded peaks of Huangshan, the elemental landscapes of Iceland and New Zealand, Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, and the historic alpine huts of Victoria’s High Country in Peter’s native Australia. Often captured at first light, these photographs preserve the fleeting moment when alpenglow reaches the summit, mist moves through the valley, and still water turns the mountain upside down.

How are Peter Lik mountain prints made?

Every Peter Lik mountain print is produced in-house at the LIK Fine Art studio in Las Vegas, one of the few artist-owned fine art production facilities in the world. Each photograph is printed on museum-grade photographic paper and mounted beneath acrylic to reveal remarkable color, depth, and detail.

Collectors may choose a contemporary acrylic mount or an artisan frame assembled in the studio and finished with a canvas-wrapped liner. Each piece arrives with a hanging solution, while LIK Fine Art gallery consultants are available to assist with sizing, framing, and placement. What sizes and formats are Peter Lik mountain prints available in?

Peter Lik mountain prints are available in classic 3:2 photographic and panoramic formats, including a strong group of vertical panoramics of El Capitan, the Maroon Bells, and Zion. The collection ranges from intimate standard prints to sweeping panoramic images, with select alpine landscapes reaching more than nine feet long.

This range allows each mountain image to retain the composition Peter originally envisioned, whether expressed as a classic landscape or portrait, a tall vertical that follows a peak to the sky, or an expansive panorama that carries a ridgeline across the wall. What is the difference between an Open Edition, Limited Edition, and Artist Proof?

Open Edition photographs are signed but not individually numbered and do not have a predetermined edition limit.

Limited Edition photographs are signed and individually numbered, with a fixed edition size listed on each artwork’s product page. Once every number in a Limited Edition has been reserved, the edition is permanently closed and no additional pieces are produced.

Artist Proofs belong to a separate, highly limited edition. Depending on the photograph, Artist Proof editions range from 10 to 45 individually numbered pieces. They are produced at a higher print resolution and presented beneath anti-reflective acrylic for exceptional clarity and detail.
